Period-Correct Custom Kitchen Cabinets

This is the very first kitchen ever made by the skilled woodworkers at D.R. Dimes. We built it for Mike Babin’s Chestnut Properties project in Chester, New Hampshire. It is a village development of all period-reproduction homes. This meant that our craftsmanship not only had to be flawless, but also correct to the period of each home.

We made all of the custom kitchen cabinets and drawers out of solid maple with unevenly spaced through dovetails. To our knowledge, we are the only ones doing this. Details like a chamfer and lambs tongue are common on museum-quality reproduction furniture, but not on kitchen cabinets — at least not until now. Thanks to our unwavering dedication to superior quality, Mr. Babin can enjoy the benefit and potential increase in property value that comes with period-correct custom cabinetry.
